Day Zero, Cascade Oil Leak Tour
Once again it's that time of year for us, we get in our LBC and head off on an adventure. This years tour starts in Hood River, Oregon which is pretty close for us but not so much for quite a few others on the tour. I think Drew S. will 'win' the distance award having driven his beautiful '67 FHC from Austin/San Antonio Texas!
Quite a few folks started their journey earlier in the week but living within 350 miles of the starting point we were able to leave this morning. Getting an early start we were in Baker at the Geyser Grand Hotel where we enjoyed a pleasant Sunday brunch.
Moving on we were making such good time that we decided to stop at the Mary Hill Museum for a break, they didn't allow pictures inside so you'll just have to take my word that it is an exceptional art museum. We first visited Mary Hill about 35 years ago when Jan was pregnant with our youngest son, Lee. It's changed quite a bit but still has an impressive display of some of Auguste Rodin's work as well as an eclectic collection of other artists.
We got into Hood River in the early after noon and there were several cars already here, we had dinner at the restaurant in the motel and it was quite good.

Well, that's it for tonight. Stay tuned for further exciting blogs on our tour if your lucky I'll include a link to David L.'s blog that is much better!
Cheers,
